WEBINAR: Sustainable Investing in Chemicals – Trends and Opportunities
Rescheduled from July 19, 2023.
Growing pressure from various stakeholders including end customers, regulators and investors, is pushing chemical and materials companies as well as a broad universe of financial investors operating in the space to make strong commitments towards decarbonization. While the development of new chemicals, materials and solutions that enable the transition to a net zero economy presents risks and can be highly capital intensive, remaining on the sidelines may be even riskier in the long term. A high level on uncertainty still remains today around what solutions will become widely adopted industry standards in future and how value / supply chains will evolve. In this context, the ability to build on existing areas of expertise / capabilities and adopt a disciplined approach in evaluating new opportunities with high potential and the appropriate risk-reward profile is critical for success.
Panelists will share their perspectives on how to navigate the current environment and make the right investment decisions today to help develop businesses that will be future winners and leaders, and capture the massive growth opportunities available while managing risks.
Federico Mennella
, CFA board member of Société will moderate this Webinar panel.
